Tie Dye Explorers

                                        While on a trip to a Botanical Garden in Maine, I caught
                                         these two little girls checking out the pond . They
                                         were with a group of other kids all dressed in tie-dye
                                         shirts. I decided pastels was the perfect medium to
                                         capture the beautiful colors and the girls' curiosity.
                               

Salisbury Beach

                                   Heading up to Salisbury Beach in the summer brings back
                                   memories of growing up in Lynn, when our favorite summer
                                   activity was to head to Revere Beach amusement park.
                                   Riding the dodgems and the Merry-go-round as a kid and
                                   when my husband and I were dating,dragging me on the
                                    cyclone(not a find memory) trying to win prizes, and
                                   eating our way along the Boardwalk.
                                   The sounds, the smells, the whole vibe of the place was
                                   just magical. Revere Beach is gone now. Condominiums
                                   have replaced it. So I head to Salisbury Beach just to cap-      
                                   ture a little of that sweet nostalgia.

Meditation Rock

                                        My Dad passed away last November at 95. We will
                                         be spreading his ashes here this summer.His wish was
                                         to join my Mother who we buried here in 2005. It is
                                         front of the family cottage on a beautiful tidal cove in

                              I don't usually paint boats but I have been wanting to try this
                              reference photo that I took in Rockport last summer. It was a
                              beautiful evening and the setting sun just lit up the Harbor.
                              This sailboat had pulled in next to Motif no.1. In the original
                               photo below, I decide to crop out the building and just make
                              the boat the focus.

On A Carousel

                                            I love carousel horses and I have a lot of photos
                                            of these beauties that are fun to paint from. We
                                            take my grandson to Salem Willows Park in Salem
                                            Massachusetts and he just loves to ride on the Merry

                                       but in the light he reflects a beautiful array of colors.
